We embrace Christian life at Hope Academy by engaging with our local Christian communties. As a joint Catholic and Church of England Academy, we work closely with our local Catholic Priest, Fr. Benedict Ogbuevule, and our local Vicar, Rev. Chris Stafford.

There are a number of Christian Services throughout our school year, starting with a Joint Denominational Welcome Service for the Year 7s in October which welcomes them into the school community and anticipates the talents and skills we will nurture by celebrating our Academy Vision: ‘Serve one another through love.” (Galatians 5:13)
From September 2023 we will be having both Catholic and Anglican services for our students, staff and local community in our chapel at least once a half term!
There are services at both Christmas and Easter at our local churches and a host of events that pupils can be involved in to live out our Christian Vision, as can be seen from our Chaplaincy Calendar:

Thrive
‘Thrive’ material is produced by ‘Roots on the Web’. There is a fresh sheet every week based on the Lectionary readings, and it’s designed to help us consider what the readings explore, what that means for you and how you will live your faith this week: (click here to open a bigger version of the page below in a new tab)
