Collective Worship

Collective Worship is a central and cherished part of life at Hope Academy, reflecting our Christian foundation and joint denominational identity. Rooted in our vision to ‘serve one another through love’, it offers students and staff regular opportunities to reflect, pray, celebrate, and grow together in faith and values.

Each year group participates in weekly Year Group Collective Worship, led by a variety of staff, students, and visitors, following a structured and meaningful format: Gather, Listen, Respond, Go. Daily worship is also embedded into our Inspire Programme, beginning with our student-written Academy Values Prayer and a Thought for the Day, linking Christian teachings with everyday life.

Worship at Hope Academy is inclusive and engaging. It celebrates achievements, promotes Gospel values, and encourages kindness, respect, and community spirit. Students are actively involved in planning and leading worship, supported by our Chaplaincy Team and Faith in Action Group.

From liturgical celebrations like Ash Wednesday, Advent, and Holy Week, to community events such as Remembrance Services and charity appeals, Collective Worship helps students connect with their faith, their peers, and the wider world. It also fosters strong links with local churches and clergy from both Anglican and Catholic traditions, making Collective Worship at Hope Academy a vibrant expression of our shared values and unity.
