Pupil Premium Allocations 2013-14
Allocation for 2013/14 Academic Year: £432,400
This amount is summarised as follows:
Staffing Costs: £320,000 including:
• Intervention Teachers in Maths/English/Science/Technology
• Teaching Assistants
• HLTA’s
• Literacy Co-Ordinator
• Numeracy Co-Ordinator
• Inclusion Manager & Inclusion Support Staff
• Achievement Mentors
• Nurture Group Staff
• Learning Resource Manager (reading scheme)
• Homework Club
• EWO / Attendance SLA
Key Initiatives: £69,100 including:
• Revision Classes
• Reading Schemes
• Easter Revision Schools
• Breakout Days
• Music Tuition
• Widened Curriculum Provision including off site programmes
• Achievement for All Programme
• Staff Training
• Assessment & Tracking
• Year 11 immersion day (Maths & English)
Other Costs: £43,300 including:
• Uniform
• Pupil Laptops
• Rewards
• Awards
• Residential Trips
Impact
The impact of the above strategies has been significant.
English:
The proportion of pupil premium students making expected progress in English is predicted to improve significantly in 2014.

43% of pupil premium students made expected progress in 2013. The pupil premium gap is predicted to narrow significantly in line with national averages (ie -19% compared to national average of -18%)

Mathematics:
The proportion of pupil premium students making expected progress in Mathematics is also predicted to improve significantly in 2014.

40% of pupil premium students made expected progress in 2013. The pupil premium gap is predicted to narrow significantly in line with national averages (ie -18% compared to national average of -22%)
