Pupil Premium Allocations 2012-13
Allocation for 2012-13 Academic Year: £408,700
This amount is summarised as follows:
Staffing Costs: £292,100 including:
• Intervention Teachers in Maths/English
• Teaching Assistants
• HLTA’s
• Literacy Co-Ordinator
• Numeracy Co-Ordinator
• Inclusion Manager & Inclusion Support Staff
• Attendance Officer
• Achievement Mentors
• Nurture Group Staff
• Learning Resource Manager (reading scheme)
• Homework Club
Key Initiatives: £82,000 including:
• Revision Classes
• Reading Schemes
• Easter Revision Schools
• Breakout Days
• Music Tuition
• Widened Curriculum Provision including off site programmes
• Achievement for All Programme
• Staff Training
• Assessment & Tracking
• Examination Entry Resits
• Year 11 immersion day (Maths & English)
Other Costs: £34,600 including:
• Uniform
• Pupil Laptops
• Rewards
• Awards
• Residential Trips
Impact
The impact of the above strategies has been significant.
Mathematics:
• Children with FSM in Mathematics have made rapid progress and have shown a 12% increase in their A*-C GCSE results.
• The attainment gap between FSM pupils and Non FSM pupils has closed rapidly by 18%, The gap is now 23% and is narrower than the national average of 24%.
English:
• In English there has been a 16% increase from 2012 in English A*-C attainment of FSM pupils.
• The attainment gap between FSM children and non FSM children is closing rapidly towards national averages. The gap has reduced by 10% and is now 26% gap compared to a national gap of 24%.
5A*-C Including Maths & English:
• FSM children have shown a 12% increase in attainment of 5A*-C including English & Maths.
• The gap is much narrower than 2012 and closing rapidly, but still remains wider than the national gap.
