Diversity

The governors of Hope Academy believe it is important that boards reflect the diversity of the communities they serve. Diverse boards promote inclusive academy environments and provide diverse role models for staff and young people.

The governors are currently collecting data on the diversity of the board, including data on age, gender and ethnicity. They will use that data to inform their recruitment and training needs and ensure there is always a diverse range of perspectives around the table to support robust decision making.

Due to our relatively small governing board, we will not publish this diversity data online as individual governors could be identified and we have a legal obligation to protect their personal data.

  • 17/05/2024 Mrs Seddon's 25A4 have been studying the nature and purpose of families. They were particularly interested in drawing up detailed contracts which parents are children should adhere to, they now know what is expected of them in the home! 😉🤞🏼💚 pic.twitter.com/MrOVhIOGXH
  • 17/05/2024 Mrs Seddon's 27A1 were fantastic this week, they have understood how the Great Schism caused Christianity to have denominations. Once they fully understood, they practised assessment style questions to ensure they'd demonstrate their knowledge effectively in an assessment.✍️✝️💚 pic.twitter.com/BsBfswkRoo
